Isn't that the mill at the Homestead Mine in Lead, SD?
GJ
Picture says it's the Deadwood Terra Gold Stamp Mill, owned by Homestake. The photo is by John C H Grabill from sometime in the 1880's.

Can you give us a clue? Might be any number of places - my first guess was Deadwood, or maybe Cody. Denver? Carson City?

Del,
Seriously, it's really hard to tell one city from another without any distinguishing landmark in the scene (unless I missed one). It doesn't look like LA, so I guess it's pre-earthquake San Francisco.

Nope, further west yet and BTW is once was a cattle town like Dodge City. That's what makes this one so fun. BTW a friend that lives there sent a picture of what that street looks like today. She was excited to see it, one of those stores might have been her grandfathers.

Honolulu, Fort Street, my friend added this picture from today of Fort Street: Historical Photo round-up Many folks have never heard of the Parker Ranch, was important in it's day as supply for cattle to passing ships, they were sold live and as salt/corned beef. The cattle were driven into the sea and hoisted aboard ship. http://www.parkerranch.com/Parker-Ranch/161/history-of-parker-ranch

Well I didn't think this one would really stump folks: Historical Photo round-up An early (Late 1880's ) baseball card, A P. Clark from the Omaha team, notice the fact that early baseball cards were in Cigarette packs not bubble gum as in our youth.

Howdy Del,
The Mayo's tobacco company (Mayo's Cut Plug) baseball cards go way back and are quite collectible. The English put cards out with all kinds of stuff on them, like race horses, dogs, etc.
I have a really good Mayo's Cock of the Walk cut plug porcelain sign if anyone's interested, but bring the rent because they are real rare.

Thanks, got some links on some more photo collections and thought these from 1887-1914 were interesting. What is real interesting is those pants apear to have belt loops also. The 2100 baseball cards can be found at: http://lcweb2.loc.gov/pp/bbcquery.html

OK, I've had some time again, so lets kick this one around, well known picture of Goyahkla aka Geronimo. Historical Photo round-up Lots of pictures of Indians, but this one and several other's taken by CS Fly of Tombstone are the only ones of their kind. Anyone know what that is? BTW CS Fly should be more well know, after all there was a famous gunfight behind his studio.
